India :
India, the land of unity in diversity, the land of gods, the land of natural diversity, the land of vitality and many more that perhaps you cannot explain in a single sentence. Truly, India has so much of diversities that it is really tough to classify it with a particular terminology. Starting from the very day of her origination every day India is still young and even after 9000 years of its origination India is never monotonous because of its versatility and vibration of life.
Almost 9000 years ago the signs of first civilized human settlement have been identified on the soils of India. Aftermath, gradually that civilization became more developed and turned into The Indus Valley civilization. This is an example of very few properly planned civilizations that emerged in the contemporary world (3300 BC). Later on the Vedic period followed and it is considered to be the golden era in the emergence of India before the world from the perspective of philosophy and religious liberalism. In many of the modern writers and their writings the clear influence of Indian philosophy is identifiable.
India has been ruled by many kings and it has also been invaded by the foreign forces numerous times. Maurya dynasty, Gupta dynasty, Chalukyas, Cholas, Pallavas, Pandyas and Mughal dynasty are some of the most influential dynasties that dominated India for a long time. The list of invaders is not much small: Indo-Scythians, Indo-Parthians, Indo-Greeks and Kushans. Behind India's cultural and religious and philosophical diversity influence of all these castes has played perhaps the most important role. The cultural and religious tolerance have become an integral part for the people of India and as if mingled with their blood.
Then almost for 200 years India was ruled by the British. This big time period is very crucial for the transition of Indian people. Especially, in the last 50 years of reign British government faced tremendous hostility from the Indian citizens. Before the Sepoy mutiny, the historical battle of Palassy shook the roots of British Empire but the tremendous blows in the later half of the battle of independence ultimately made the great empire surrender.

Independence, Republic and Government:Almost 200 years of chain of burden was broken ultimately in 15th of August in 1947. But, India did not get the status of republic at that moment. On 26th January, 1950, India ultimately became a republic and published her own constitution. Depending upon the noble philosophy of the Indian constitution, India is following a federal republic form of government under the efficient leadership of the president Mr. A.P. J Abdul Kalam and the Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh.
Top Cities of India:Mainly, India has four major cities. They are as follows:
Delhi: This is the capital city of India. Delhi actually has two separate divisions: Old Delhi and New Delhi. In modern era the New Delhi is the capital of India and also the main center for all administrative, legislative and judicial policies and actions.
Kolkata (Calcutta): Since 1911 Kolkata used to be the capital of India. This historical city still holds one of the most important positions in the administrative, legislative and judicial scenario in India. The Kolkata culture and intellectual society has received high acclamation from the people all over the world and this city has a high global recognition due to its cosmopolitan nature.
Mumbai:Previously known as Bombay, this mega city is unacknowledged business capital of India. Stock exchange is the place where from detailed ideas about economic condition of India can be received. With its cosmopolitan nature and dynamic life style Mumbai has received a great amount of global fame.
Chennai (Madras): Another very important city of India and situated right on the costs of Indian Ocean. For the purpose of governing India, Chennai has equal importance like that of Kolkata and Mumbai.
All these cities are equally important from the viewpoint of implementing a harmonious legislative process throughout India. While Delhi serves the purpose of heart of India-- Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai all are the hands and legs of the same body. If, either of these cities stops functioning then the whole Indian democratic system shall collapse. But apart from these four cities Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmadabad are the other very important cities of India.Culture and Heritage of India:
